We are delighted that two of our projects have been nominated for the Baumit Life Challenge 2024. The facade, the face of the building, is at the centre of the competition, and exceptional facades from all over Europe are up for grabs.<\/p>\n
In the category “Thermal Renovation”, our sustainable project “The Holly”, Heiligengeistplatz 4, Klagenfurt,<\/a> was nominated. The \u00d6GNI Gold-certified Gesundheitswelt Ost project in Wiener Neustadt<\/a> was also nominated in the “non-residential building” category. The audience poll will continue until the 16 April 2024.<\/p>\n Just before the event, the international jury of experts will select the final winners in each category, as well as the winner of the prestigious Life Challenge Award, dedicated to the best fa\u00e7ade design.<\/p>\n The presentation of the winners will take place on 23 May 2024 in Ljubljana.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" We are delighted that two of our projects have been nominated for the Baumit Life Challenge 2024. \n“The Holly” project is located at Heiligengeistplatz 4 in the centre of the city of Klagenfurt am W\u00f6rthersee. As part of the refurbishment of the existing building, the facades of the entire structure were modernised to give the building a contemporary, attractive design. The new uses and striking fa\u00e7ade design create a new focal point in this busy area. The generous openings ensure that the building is well lit and create a strong relationship between the interior and exterior spaces.

\nThe multi-functional healthcare centre offers a full range of medical services, hotels, serviced apartments and commercial space. As a whole, Nova-City is a district with its own identity, consisting of a heterogeneous mix of research, technology, competence and event centres. On the one hand, it offers services that a hospital cannot provide; on the other hand, the cancer research and treatment centre “MedAustron” has been expanded on site to include accommodation for patients, relatives, seminar and congress participants or medical experts. The fa\u00e7ade is white. Several bands around the window frames on each floor structure the building and give the fa\u00e7ade a horizontal rhythm.
