The topping-out ceremony for the University of Augsburg construction project took place in bright sunshine on 29.04.2024. The shell for the new three-storey research building and the two-storey laboratory building was built on the former parking lot between the physics building and the innovation park. Thanks to the modular construction method, the building was completed in a short time so the the topping-out ceremony was celebrated just a few weeks after. The Bavarian State Minister for Housing, Construction and Transport, Christian Bernreiter, the President of the University of Augsburg, Prof. Dr. Sabine Doering-Manteuffe, representatives of ALHO Systembau GmbH, RWT PLUS ZT GmbH and LeitWerk AG as well as many other project participants accepted the invitation and gathered on the construction site.<\/p>\n
In the ceremonial speeches, words of thanks were addressed to all those involved and the rapid, sustainable and climate-friendly construction of the new research building was emphasized. After the traditional topping-out speech, the topping-out crown was raised to the accompaniment of music and afterwards lively discussions over food and drink brought the celebration to a cheerful close.<\/p>\n
