Site Visit AHS Wien West 13.06.2019
On Thursday, June 13th, 2019, a small group of employees from WGA ZT GmbH accepted the invitation to the “On-Stage-Seminar” for the opening ceremony of the AHS Wien West. The AHS Wien West, which is a federal high school focusing on sports, was presented by the Überbau Akademie as another school building from the “Überbau-On-Stage Series”. The school was built on a stretch of the site formerly occupied by the Biedermann-Huth-Raschke military base in the Vienna Breitensee district. After it has been fully completed, the educational facility will have a capacity of approx. 1100 students. The new building combines the two former military bases into one architectural design concept. A central, large-scale inner courtyard forms the heart of the architectural design and creates a generous space for learning and recreation surrounded by plenty of natural daylight.
