BIMcert Practitioner Coordination certification

After our WGA-BIM-Team successfully passed the buildingSMART BIMcert Foundation certification, the next level, the buildingSMART BIMcert Practitioner Coordination certification, was achieved by our WGA-BIM members.
After a 100 hours long BIMcert Practitioner Coordination course by SIDE – Studio for Information Design GmbH, in which a wide range of methods was taught, the following theses were presented in the final certification exam:

Boy d’Hont: Implementation of digital quality management in the planning phase for the BIM technical coordination architecture in openBIM projects
Antoni Dimitrov: Office-wide implementation of IFC transmission standards
Karl Engelmaier: BIM study on the IFC specialist model for open space planning
Carlos Mayerle: BIM model-based quantity surveys
Markus Zeisig: Strategy paper on open BIM implementation

The buildingSMART Certified Professional certification is aimed specifically at users in the field of openBIM. With the buildingSMART BIMcert Practitioner Coordination certification, we are further expanding our competence in BIM overall coordination and guarantee a high level of expertise and independent, practice-oriented work in this area.
