As part of a factory tour at local parquet manufacturer Puchegger & Jilg GmbH, a group from the WGA team in Vienna was invited to take a look behind the scenes of production, including the possibilities of processing parquet flooring. This led to an exciting exchange between the manufacturer’s staff and us designers. Our interested colleagues learned a lot about processing on a state-of-the-art production line, storage and the material properties of parquet flooring, and took away important background information for planning and day-to-day work.
Puchegger & Jilg introduced us to their internal research and development department, which is working on the latest measuring technology. The ideas for this come from the company’s own experience of many years of parquet processing. During the visit, it became clear that the company places great emphasis on quality and variety, and is always looking to offer innovative solutions to individual requirements.
