Gesundheitswelt Ost, Wiener Neustadt – Ground-breaking Ceremony

The ground-breaking ceremony for the “Gesundheitswelt Ost” construction project, in which wohngut Development “Wiener Neustadt” GmbH & Co KG is acting as the building contractor, was held in Wiener Neustadt on 18th August 2021 in brilliant summer weather.

Representatives of the building contractor, the construction company, the planning offices and politicians accepted the invitation to gather at the building site, where construction work is already progressing rapidly.

A few words of introduction were spoken by Mr. Michael Wögerer and Mr. Dipl.-Ing. Lukas Sykora, who are both managing directors at the building contractor. In their speeches they emphasised the long and intensive planning phase that formed the basis for the construction project, which can now finally get underway.

After this, the Mayor, Mr. Klaus Schneeberger, spoke about the importance of the project for Wiener Neustadt as part of the whole “Nova City” urban development area.

Before the eagerly anticipated symbolic act of first breaking the gorund took place, the Provincial Councillor, Mr. Jochen Danninger, used his concluding words to highlight the significance of the construction project far beyond the local area, especially with regard to the new Wiener Neustadt Provincial Hospital, which will be built in the next few years.

The event was presented by Dietmar Chmelar, who is well known from film and television and was in great form.

The attractive site, on which the multifunctional building will be built with a mix of hotel use, healthcare facilities and gastronomy as well as commercial areas with 259 parking spaces, is located within walking distance of the Arena Nova and the Wiener Neustadt stadium and has excellent transport connections to the existing infrastructure.

The shared goal of delivering the building project whilst following an ambitious construction schedule and, in particular, for the site to operate with zero accidents, was emphasised as the wish of everyone involved in the project during the celebrations.
