Road Maintenance Depot Stoob – Permanent exhibition ‘Contemporary Architecture in Raumburgenland’

Our project ‘Highway maintenance supervisor Stoob’ was selected for the permanent exhibition ‘Current Architecture in Raumburgenland’ at the Architektur Raumburgenland architecture gallery in Eisenstadt. This innovative construction project was realised for Landesimmobilien Burgenland GmbH (LIB) and represents a new, central base for the Burgenland road maintenance depot.

It includes an administration building, a comprehensive workshop with a central warehouse, workshops and inspection stations for trucks, as well as covered parking areas for the Vehicle fleet, garages, a petrol station, salt silos with a salt brine mixing plant and wash boxes.

The BIM planning promoted a transparent and integrative approach using various digital interfaces, greatly improving the quality of the design.

Sustainability also played a central role in the conception. PV modules are installed on the roof surfaces to guarantee an environmentally friendly power supply. In addition, heating is provided by a wood chip heating system.
