WGA Berlin – Office Trip to Leipzig

On Friday morning, 17 October 2025, the Berlin WGA team set off on its annual two-day autumn trip. This time, we took the train to Leipzig. The journey took almost two hours, and everyone arrived at their destination in a good mood shortly before midday.
The first highlight was an in-depth tour of the former cotton mill, which was once part of a factory town that grew to become the largest of its kind in continental Europe at the beginning of the 20th century. Today, the site is considered one of the most exciting venues for contemporary art and culture in Europe. During the tour, visitors gained interesting insights into the history and development of the spinning mill. The team then visited the archive, as well as several local galleries and exhibition spaces.
Afterwards, we visited the Leipzig Archery Club’s archery hall. Here, we were all given the opportunity to try traditional or instinctive archery, which was not only fun, but also offered a relaxing change of pace for body and mind. The first day ended in a friendly atmosphere, after dinner together.
On Saturday, we enjoyed sunshine and fresh air on an excursion to the south of the city, where we visited the Battle of the Nations Monument. During the exclusive tour, the team enjoyed the monumental architecture and the magnificent view of Leipzig, and gained fascinating insights into the history and construction of Europe’s largest monument.
On Saturday afternoon, the group finally set off on their journey back to Berlin, feeling full of new impressions and with a sense of having enjoyed a successful company outing.
