Tackling climate change and its consequences is one of the most critical issues of our time. Architecture has an important role to play. With this in mind, WGA ZT GmbH has been a long-standing member of IG Lebenszyklus Bau and has contributed to the development of the “Climate Risk Guide for Real Estate”. Thomas Schmidt, our company’s group leader for planning and sustainable construction, was able to contribute his expertise in this area as a member of the working group.
At the IG Lebenszyklus Bau autumn congress in Vienna on 14 November, sustainable construction was discussed in depth and the guidelines developed this year were presented. Interesting documents were produced on building modernisation, soil sealing in rural areas, greenwashing, supply chain law and value-added use of roof space.
We are honoured to be one of the 100 experts from around 60 companies and research institutions who have contributed to the publications, thereby contributing to sustainable and ecological construction in the future.
