We are pleased to announce that the general renovation of the Canisianum has been completed according to schedule. The handover to the building owner took place on 30.09.2022, allowing all residents of the student dormitory to move into the new units as of 01.10.2022.
Due to the clear reorganisation of the functions in the building, all office and day-centre functions were relocated to the north wing. The south and middle wings thus remain for pure dormitory use as well as for events that regularly take place in the Propter Homines Aula and in the house chapel. An entrance and exit ramp allows easy access to the events. The building, which is over 100 years old, now offers different sized living units to choose from – including single and double units. In addition, residents have a reading room, a fitness room, a recreation room, a communal kitchen per wing and floor, and a spacious and high-quality garden area that will reach its maximum splendour next spring.
