On Friday the 5th of April 2024 we had the opportunity to visit another construction site. This time we were able to have a look at Gartenheimstraße 45-47, 1220 Vienna. The planned residential building contains 16 apartments in two staircases and a shop on the ground floor. The project is currently under construction, so we were able to discuss a number of dry construction issues on site, using a number of examples. As the project is aiming for ÖGNI Gold certification, various sustainability issues were also addressed during the tour. For example, the explanation of the geothermal probes, which provide sustainable heating in winter and cooling in summer. It was an interesting and educational tour, and we learned a lot. We are already looking forward to the next site visit.
