Kindergarten Schwadorf Expansion – Construction completion

The extension of the Schwadorf kindergarten has been successfully completed. We are very proud to have completed a sustainable project that meets the needs of both the children and the teaching staff.Right from the start, it was important for everyone working on the project to make sure sustainability was part of the planning and implementation. Not only does the use of wood as building material underline how eco-friendly the project is, but it also creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the children and teaching staff.
The measure to expand the kindergarten by adding another storey to the building permits more efficient use of the existing property while reducing the environmental impact. By working closely with the municipality of Schwadorf, we have found a solution that meets the kindergarten’s space requirements in a sustainable approach.

The design of the new façade on the street side creates a clear geometric frame at the main entrance, serving as a central point for the children, parents and teaching staff. This welcoming design promotes a positive perception of the kindergarten and fosters a friendly first impression. The building appears to have two sides: the garden side features covered terraces and generous glass fronts of the group rooms, providing a natural connection to the outdoors. These open spaces offer plenty of light and a pleasant environment promoting the well-being of the children.

The bright and friendly group rooms offer direct access to the terrace and the garden. This design not only promotes playing outdoors but also reinforces the bond with nature – a very important factor in early childhood development.

Finally, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone involved in the project who contributed to its successful completion. Your commitment has made it possible to create a kindergarten that is both functional and sustainable. We are convinced that this extension will have a positive impact regarding child development and will encourage the interaction with nature by offering the children a variety of opportunities for playing and for learning.
