Retirement Home Alfons Maria, Gablitz – Construction is almost finished

Most of the building work on all of the upper floors has been completed. The parquet flooring as well as the tiles on the walls and floors have been laid, and the final installation work has been completed. The painting was the last job to be finished. The planned colours for each of the residential floors can now be seen on the walls and pillars. This will help the future residents find their way around the building more easily.

On the ground floor there is still a lot of work happening on the construction site. The sliding doors have been installed and the drywall builders have completed their work, as have the floor and tile layers. The plumbers, electricians and painters are all still hard at work. The industrial kitchen will soon be finished.

There has also been a lot of progress on the exterior. The façade has been completed. At the moment, the electricians are working on installing the exterior and security lighting along the façades. The tarmac has been laid on the walkways and roads, which have also had their lighting installed. The gardening work has already started, which involves moving a number of trees and plants. In the western inner courtyard, a “help yourself” garden will be created along a cheerful path around the central apple tree. The pensioners can watch the seasonal plants grow and enjoy berries they have picked themselves.
