In order to gather experience on the construction site away from the daily office routine, our company WGA ZT GmbH regularly organises site visits at our ongoing projects.
Last Friday, this event took us to Gablitz in Lower Austria. A nursing home is currently under construction in the central area of the town, which will provide a new home for 118 residents in the future.
The main theme of the building visit was accessibility, as a high priority in the planning of health care buildings. During the visit, visitors first had the opportunity to see how far the construction work had progressed.
The residents’ rooms on the upper floors are nearly finished and only the last installation work still must be completed. The screed is in place in the entire building, so that the flooring and tiling work can begin in the upcoming weeks.
The colleagues asked questions regarding the prefabricated wet cells, the modern building services concept, the planned outdoor facilities concept, the building seals in the industrial kitchens and the functional process in operation.
