The finishing work on the new nursing home in Gablitz is progressing rapidly after the topping-out ceremony to celebrate the completion of the structural work in March.
Up on the roof, the shaft heads, skylight domes, and equipment foundations have already been constructed and the waterproofing membranes have been laid. The insulation is currently being added.
All of the glazing for the windows and loggias has been put in and the installation of the lifts for both passengers and beds has been completed. As for the interior, the simultaneous installation work of the building services by various trades is proceeding at full speed. The dry walls on the 2nd floor are currently being built, while the filling work is already underway on the 1st floor. On the 3rd floor, the dry construction wall work has already been completed and the work to lay the floors has been started. The screed will be laid in the next few weeks.
The progress of the construction work can also be seen in the outdoor area. The substructure for the outdoor facilities as well as the future ground-level construction is in progress. The foundations for the emergency staircases and the supporting walls for the car parking spaces are also being completed.
